Welcome to the Website of the King and Queen Public House. As you will see it is very much a ‘work in progress’ and will hopefully be up and running properly very soon.
Since it was bought by a local builder in July 2009, the King and Queen has seen substantial refurbishment work undertaken throughout the ground floor of the premises. The more obvious works have included a new entrance porch, new solid Oak doors, replacement wood panelling thoughout the bar and restaurant, floor replacement in the bar area (new carpets are being fitted May 2010). The worst of the disruptions downstairs have now finished and next on the agenda is the complete renovation and transformation of the five letting rooms upstairs.
Many activities are planned including live bands and entertainment, regular quiz nights and also the increasingly popular WII nights!
